Freelance Invoice Template — For Designers, Developers, and Writers

This template is designed for solo professionals — designers, developers, writers, and marketers — who invoice clients for project-based or milestone work. It includes structured line items with descriptions, quantities, and rates, making it clear exactly what the client is paying for.

The layout supports both flat-rate and hourly billing. For project work, list each deliverable as a separate line item: "Homepage design — 2 concepts," "Inner page templates × 5," "Responsive QA." For hourly work, show the rate, hours logged, and subtotal per task.

Payment terms are prominently displayed — Net 15 is the default, but you can adjust to Net 30 or Due on Receipt. The due date is calculated and shown clearly so the client doesn't have to do mental math.

Tax handling covers both GST-registered and non-GST scenarios. If you're GST-registered, the template includes GSTIN, SAC code, and automatic CGST/SGST or IGST split based on client state. For non-GST freelancers, the tax section is cleanly omitted.

Bank details, UPI ID, and an optional Razorpay payment link appear at the bottom of every invoice. The fewer clicks between reading and paying, the faster your money arrives. Include all three payment methods — different clients prefer different options.

The PDF export is print-ready with your logo, brand colors, and consistent formatting. It looks professional on screen, on paper, and on mobile — which matters because many clients forward invoices to their accounts team on a phone.
